A call to help a friend this holiday season
Hi everyone,
To begin: I’m sorry for the late email today.
Secondly: I am sending this message out in the hopes that someone might be able to help a friend of mine who just suffered an immeasurable tragedy.
Two days ago, my friend Shelby — whom I met at Horror Realm in Pittsburgh in 2011 — lost her home to a sudden structural fire. She also lost her two children and her dog.
Shelby is currently in the hospital from wounds and burns she sustained while climbing to and then jumping from her second-story porch window to call 911.
I am beyond heartbroken. Speechless doesn’t describe how I feel right now. I lost touch with Shelby for a few years, but hearing this news is just devastating.
If you have the means to help Shelby, even if it’s just by sharing her CaringBridge on your social media networks, please consider doing so. I can only imagine what she’s going through. The CaringBridge that has been set up to help can be found at: https://www.caringbridge.org/visit/shelbytrapplinn
Hold your loved ones tight.
With love,
—Kody
